Took a lot of inspiration from the Dark Souls games for this one. I tried to create feelings of emptiness and coldness, stillness and foreboding.
During my work on this it took on several very different looks. At one point it was an extremely warm and sunny piece which I eventually had to admit didn't fit the landscape I had created at that point.
So I put those ideas into the back of my head for another piece, and instead went ahead and completed this piece in a dark and cold matter.
I feel confident I made the right choice.

This was the first time I recorded my workflow properly in order to create a time lapse of the process and if you want to see the different version of the image you can see them in the video.
